{"id":1649,"date":"2025-03-12T16:34:30","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T16:34:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nh0.18b.myftpupload.com\/?page_id=1649"},"modified":"2025-03-12T22:11:17","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T22:11:17","slug":"mandate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/peqab.ca\/en\/mandate\/","title":{"rendered":"Mandate"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-c61f8af5 alignfull uagb-is-root-container\"><div class=\"uagb-container-inner-blocks-wrap\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-a9f61422\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">The Board&#8217;s Mandate<\/h2><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (Board) was created by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-laws.gov.on.ca\/html\/statutes\/english\/elaws_statutes_00p36_e.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Post-secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000<\/a>&nbsp;(Act).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board will carry out its Mandate as set forth under sections 5 and 7 of the Act which includes but is not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-item-extra-space\">\n<li>To review applications for consent and renewal of consent and other matters referred to it by the Minister under the Act and make recommendations to the Minister<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To establish criteria and procedures for reviewing applications and other matters referred to it by the Minister and for making recommendations to the Minister<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To undertake reviews of program quality and organizational capacity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To establish review panels to assess the educational quality of proposed degree programs in Ontario and to review applications made under the Act<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To establish advisory committees to assist the Board in providing recommendations and advice to the Minister<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To undertake such research as it determines necessary to carry out its duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Board&#8217;s Mandate The Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (Board) was created by the&nbsp;Post-secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000&nbsp;(Act).
