Concerns & Complaints

For concerns about institutions currently offering programs under ministerial consent, consent programs themselves, the Board’s operations or other matters pertaining to the Post-secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000 (PSECE Act) please follow the following processes:

Concerns about programs or organizational quality

Please submit any concerns bearing on the quality of a program or organization that has been reviewed by PEQAB to the Secretariat [email protected]. Concerns will be reviewed internally and may be transmitted to an external expert review panel for consideration. In such cases, concerns will also be shared with the institution, removing any identifiers of the complainant. Those raising concerns will be informed about how the concern has been dealt with. Should they not be satisfied with the outcome they can forward the concern to the Assistant Deputy Minister to which the Secretariat reports (Jeff Butler, [email protected]).

Complaints about PEQAB operations

Please submit any complaints about the Board’s operations to James Brown, CEO of PEQAB ([email protected]). Should you find that this avenue did not address your complaint satisfactorily, you can direct that it be submitted to the Assistant Deputy Minister to which the PEQAB Branch reports (Jeff Butler, [email protected]).

Complainants may also wish to contact the Ontario Ombudsman.
